Bosch Security Technology for Traffic Management Solution in Bangalore

Bangalore, 4 April, 2008 : Bangalore Traffic Police inaugurated their new Traffic Monitoring System on April 4, 2008. The Monitoring System, consisting of  state-of-the-art IP CCTV cameras  and  BVMS (Video Management Software) has been provided by Bosch Security Systems, India.
"Bosch has offered the Bangalore Traffic Police a state of the art technology through its Bosch Video Management System (BVMS).  An enterprise IP video security solution designed to work with Bosch CCTV products, it provides seamless management of digital video and data across any IP network”, said Mr. Dhiraj Wali, Vice President & Business Head, Bosch Security Systems India.

40 Bosch closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras with zooming, panning & tilting capabilities have been deployed at strategic locations to monitor and control the traffic congestions at key junctions and crossings. The latest video streaming technology from Bosch will help the video to be monitored at central command center with help of latest video management software tailored for traffic applications. The Bosch CCTV System will help the traffic police to achieve better safety & discipline on Bangalore roads.

"Bosch is working aggressively to introduce innovative video surveillance solutions into the Indian market that will make IP video systems easier to manage and more cost-effective," added Mr. Wali.
The Traffic Monitoring System is an initiative taken by the Bangalore Traffic Police to improve the efficiency of the traffic systems currently is use.
