Bosch unveils its complete HD solution “from scene to screen” in India

From May 2-6, 2011, Bosch Security Systems brought together their respective channel partners in an event entitled "HD Product Introduction Day 2011”, which was held across 3 metros Delhi, Bangalore & Mumbai.

With over 40 years experience in security systems, the Bosch quality has been proved in their previous surveillance products – now with the introduction of a complete portfolio of HD solutions, Bosch addresses the growing demand for HD systems in the network (IP) security market and takes image quality “from scene to screen” to the next level.

The event was attended by close to hundred participants including customers, consultants, channel partners and staff from the Bosch Group, and boasted a packed itinerary of topics ranging from product introductions and system solutions, to live demonstrations.
The day kicked off with Mr. Ajay Sahney, GM & Country Head for Bosch Security Systems, India formally opening the event before handing over to Mr. Per Johansson, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific who gave exciting views on the topic - demystifying HD.

Mr. Tan Adrian, Product Manager, who introduced the individual products for a scale-out system to serve both HD and SD (Standard Definition) needs, such as the Bosch Recording Station, VMS (Video Management System), BVC (Bosch Video Client), and DLA (Video Storage) systems.Leading the way in interoperability, all Bosch HD products are fully ONVIF conformant to ensure they integrate easily with third-party security solutions. Bosch’s intuitive software offerings allow security personnel to view and manage both HD and standard definition appliances seamlessly in the same system. 

An educating talk given to the delegates highlighted Bosch’s HD solution offerings, which enable effective scaling from small-scale economical to large-scale professional applications.  This reinforced confidence about Bosch’s strength in key vertical market applications such as  -  Large and SME applications. Per Johansson also introduced the new HD Cameras from Bosch to the delegates – including the moving camera family, the Dinion and FlexiDome series of day/night fixed cameras, and the IP Camera 200 Series that is targeted for small businesses. 

The delegates also observed live demonstrations of the full Bosch HD surveillance solution using the 1080p HD Camera, Dinion 720p HD Camera, IP 200 720p Dome, AutoDome Junior HD Camera, 42” and 26” HD monitors, iSCSI storage array and VMS. 
“Now is the ideal time for introducing a complete HD solution for capturing, viewing, storing and managing HD video”, said Mr Ajay Sahney.

“The theme of this introduction is ‘from scene to screen’; meaning that Bosch is delivering a full HD solution to the market,” Per Johansson comments, “The first component of the solution is the HD camera. We are bringing our extensive imaging experience into our cameras, enabling us to reach the next level in image resolution. In addition, we have a recording solution, management solution, and viewing solution that fulfils the complete surveillance requirement.  And all the products in our Bosch HD portfolio are specifically designed to deliver HD image quality. They feature advanced H.264 video compression, intuitive operator software, ONVIF conformance and a ‘vision-friendly’ 16:9 aspect ratio.”
